Reasonable Inquiry is an independent public-interest reporting, research, and investigations project founded by John Fallon in 2026.

Reasonable Inquiry focuses on government accountability and transparency through public records and original reporting, particularly to answer questions that are lightly scrutinized, poorly explained, or otherwise difficult for the public to answer on their own.

The work is always evidence-based and documented whenever possible. Reporting relies on open-source research, public records requests, interviews, public meetings, and other primary sources. All records, data, and source material are published alongside reporting so readers can examine them themselves.

Reasonable Inquiry aims to ask clear questions and, when they are not adequately answered for the public, follow the evidence to determine the answers so everyone can better hold their public institutions to account.
